Sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while. Sarah and I went to her Aunt’s house for a week. We installed about 750 square feet of laminate floor, which was a lot of fun and extremely hard work. I don’t know if I’ve ever physically worked that hard in my life. Kindof sad. Stopped by my parents place to setup her new laptop (D820) with a docking station. It’s pretty sweet. I’m still trying to get her wireless to work throughout the house. The place is just too big.
We came back on Tuesday night so I can attend graduation on Wednesday. Oh I guess I didn’t mention, I’m a proud owner of a Masters Degree in Information Systems and Technology for the Johns Hopkins University. Doesn’t mean much, but hey I got through the program. The guy who sat next to me during the ceremony teaches Soo Bak Do at JHU and I might join up if I have the time.
We had a cookout that weekend and then Sarah’s parents and aunt came down as well, so all in all pretty busy. I got a nice new toy for the work. A Dewalt D718, and a Porter Cable 16 & 18 gauge nailer/compressor. (Thanks Jay for the hookup!) Now I need to find more projects to do. I’ll make sure I post a review of the equipment soon.
We had another leak in the basement. It looks like the shutoff valve to the hose connections is faulty, so time to fork over more money to a plumber to get it fixed. We did put a bit of fencing around our “lawn” but that’s another story.
