Sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while.  Sarah and I went to her Aunt’s house for a week.  We installed about 750 square feet of laminate floor, which was a lot of fun and extremely hard work.  I don’t know if I’ve ever physically worked that hard in my life.  Kindof sad.  Stopped by my parents place to setup her new laptop (D820) with a docking station.  It’s pretty sweet.  I’m still trying to get her wireless to work throughout the house.  The place is just too big. Water Water Everywhere

For those of you who have stayed over at our new house, rejoice, rejoice we have fixed the leaky toilet. We ordered two new toilets online from toiletwarehouse.com We got the Toto Drake which was reviewed in this pretty interesting study. The study’s pretty cool, and you should read it. It’s pretty interesting. I’ve already “christened” the toilet and it’s a pretty nice toilet. It takes a little getting used to since it uses so little water. But of course there is more to this story than just the new toilet, thus the title :) READ MORE »

MBA done

So as of Saturday May 9th, 2009 at 4pm I have completed all my coursework for my MBA.  No homework, no tests, no projects, or classes left.  It’s all over.  I’m just waiting for my final grades and the diploma in the mail.  I started in June of 2007 right after returning from a short trip in China and plowed ahead.  It’s been an amazing time, lots of work, and lots of new friendships, that hopefully I’ll be better at maintaining. Bad Day

Oh boy was yesterday just a comedy.  To understand what’s going on I guess I need to go back a few weeks.

So back in December a company came and did a pitch on replacing our windows.  We were quite impressed, so we decided to get all 5 of our sliding windows replaced, and chose to put in new doors.  A new front door and two sets of French doors on the back.  It took us 4 months after that to get our Home Owner’s Association to approve the work, because it was changing an external architectural detail.

After some production delays our doors and windows were delivered, and it turns out they measured the basement door incorrectly and now we have to wait for a new one to be made for them to install it.  We haven’t been all that happy with the job they did on the other two doors.  The windows have ultimately turned out ok.  A few minor details, but they will come and fix them soon enough.
